Easter Eggs – Natural Dye

Ingredients

  • 1-2 small beets cut in large squares
  • 1/2 a fennel cut in large squares
  • 1/4 of a red cabbage cut in large squares
  • two handfuls of onion skin (yellow or red onions)
  • 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder
  • water to boil vegetables
  • 5 tablespoons of distilled vinegar

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting the vegetables into large sizes.
  2. Place them each in a small pot and cover with water.
  3. Let vegetables and turmeric powder boil for about 20 minutes.
  4. Strain vegetables and use water only, place each in a separate cup.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon of distilled vinegar to each cup.
  6. Place previously boiled eggs to each cup

Notes

For best results keep overnight in the fridge.
